Prop gun (main character's weapon) based on my own concept art (coming soon). I used a lot of different materials such as metal, wood, rubber, epoxy resin etc, painted with special FX paint for metal look of non-metal parts (when you brush it after few days it gets metallic shiny features) and another one that oxidizes when coated with special salt giving real rust effect.
This prop also works...kind of. When turned on it charges it's capacitors and shoots a burst of light (modified old flash lamp) from the lower barrel (it helps a lot in POST cgi work). As You can see there's also built-in flashlight and optics.
That's all. Rest of the costume, parts of armor and stuff later as well as concept art and costume for non-human-partly-CGI character.
Thanks! Yes, it's quite big and heavy. And the idea was to make it "switchable" so it can fire beams, projectiles replicated on demand in the internal chamber from special liquid and propelled using "gravity rail" (which can also be used to pick up and shoot small objects - hence the "fork" design). A poor man's alternative to multiple weapons
